Keeping promises and keeping one’s word are attributes of the believers, and breaking promises is one of the attributes of the hypocrites, as was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “There are four (characteristics), whoever has them is a hypocrite, and whoever has one of the four has a characteristic of hypocrisy unless he gives it up: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise he breaks it; what he makes a pledge he betrays it; and when he disputes he resorts to foul language.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2327; Muslim, 58

“And there is none equal to Him.” Surat Al-‘Ikhlāş (112):4. Allaah closes the chapter with a restatement of the opening verse. If God is unique, nothing can be equal to Him. If nothing is equal to Him, then He alone is Unique. If He alone is Self-Sufficient and all creation is in need of Him, nothing in creation can be equal to Him. If He does not bear offspring, nor did anyone or anything give birth to Him, nothing or no one can be equal to Him as every created thing came into existence after a period of non-existence.

To understand why human beings need to worship Allah, one must first understand what is meant by the term ‘worship’. In Arabic, worship is called 'ibaadah which is derived from the noun 'abd meaning 'a slave’. A slave is one who is expected to do whatever his master wills. Consequently, worship according to the final revelation means 'obedient submission to the will of God.’ This was the essence of the message of all the prophets sent by God to humankind. The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Man should call upon Allah alone to provide for all his needs, so much so that even if a shoe-lace is broken, he should pray to Allah to provide a shoe-lace, and if he needs salt, he should beseech Allah to send it to him.” [Tirmidhi]

Since there is only One God, and humankind are one species, the religion which God has ordained for human beings is one. He did not prescribe one religion for the Jews, another for Indians, yet another for Europeans, etc. Human spiritual and social needs are uniform and human nature has not changed since the first man and woman were created. Consequently, no other religion is acceptable to God besides Islaam, as He clearly states in chapter Aal ‘Imraan of the final revelation: “Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam..” (Soorah Aal 'Imraan, 3:19) Dr Bilal

Allah emphasizes in many verses of the final revelation that He is not unfair to anyone. So, it is totally incorrect when calamities occur to make statements like, “Why me?” “This is unfair!” “I don’t deserve this!”, etc.Instead we should say, “We belong to Allah and to Him we will return - Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi raaji'onn.” Dr. Bilal Philips

The reward for obeying the Prophet (pbuh) is Paradise and the punishment for disobeying him is the Hellfire: “Whoever obeys Allaah and his messenger will be placed in gardens with rivers flowing beneath them, to dwell there forever. That is the greatest achievement, while those who disobey Allaah and His messenger and transgress the limits (which He has set) will be placed in the Fire to dwell there forever and have a humiliating punishment.” (4):13-14. On one occasion the Prophet (pbuh) said, “All of my nation will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” When his companions asked, “Who would refuse?” he replied, “Whoever disobeys me has refused."

In the Islaamic system, each and every human act can be transformed into an act of worship. However, for that dedication to be acceptable to Allaah, each act must fulfill two basic conditions:
Firstly, the act must be done sincerely for the pleasure of God and not for the recognition and praise of human beings. In order to facilitate this transformation of mundane deeds into worship, Allaah instructed the last Prophet (pbuh) to prescribe short prayers to be said before even the simplest of acts. The shortest prayer which may be used for any circumstance is: بِسْمِ اللهِ Bismillaah (In the name of Allaah).
The second condition, is that the act must be in accordance with the prophetic way, oin Arabic the ‘Sunnah’. All of the prophets instructed their followers to follow their way because they were guided by God.

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “The best of you is one who learns the Qur'aan and teaches [the understanding of] it to others.” A classical statement of the Prophet (pbuh) regarding understanding the Qur'aan. However, people have turned it into “The best of you is one who memorizes the Qur'aan and teaches others to memorize it!” Dr Bilal

If you are not surrendering to the unchangeable, then you are going to be in turmoil and conflict about things which are beyond your control. Just the act of submission, just the act of surrendering, gives you inner peace. It provides contentment which is readily achievable. Surrendering control over issues we cannot change is a part of true belief in Qadar (Divine Destiny). Dr Bilal

    Prophet (pbuh) said:

To our fellow young brothers – if we’re to model ourselves after the Prophet Muḥammad (pbuh) in our approach to matrimony, then at the very least we should show respect for the women of our ummah by removing the cultural and social stigmas that we attach to the sisters in similar situations as Mother of the Believers, Khadijah.
If the Prophet (pbuh) himself expressed a lifetime of immeasurable love for a woman who was older, more educated, more successful, wealthier, and previously married, don’t our sisters in similar situations deserve at the very least a fair and respectful consideration?

Allah identifies the beginnings of human differences in the creation of Adam. The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Indeed Allah Most High created Adam from a handful of dirt that He took from all over the earth. So the children of Adam come in colors and forms according to the earth from which they came. Some of them are red, white and black, and some between that; some thin and some fat, and some filthy and some clean.” (Saheeh, At-Tirmidhi)

Avoid, not only ! sin, but all doors which lead to it, for the closer you stand to the edge of a cliff, the greater your chances are of falling over.
When Allah prohibited intoxicants, gambling, idolatry, and fortunetelling He said, “Avoid them” which carries far more weight than “Don’t do them.”
